The Franklin Expedition
Canadian Arctic — departed 1845Two Royal Navy ships left England in 1845 to find the Northwest Passage. Both ships were lost. All 129 men died. Search parties found little for over a century. One ship was located in 2014 and the other in 2016. The logbooks have not been found.
